Excerpts from DharmVijay:
Narayanam Namaskrutya NaramChaiv Narottamam | Devi Saraswati Vyasam Tatto Jaya Mudisyet || In this fifth part named PapMukti of http://www.harilalupadhyay.org/mahabharat.php" title="Atha Shri Mahabharat Katha - The Mahabharat Epic in Gujarati By Shri Harilal Upadhyay)" class="normallink" >Shri Mahabharat Katha, the winner king Yudhisthir found himself deep into the sorrows for killing his own grandfather, teacher, Karn (or Karna or Karan), Duryodhan and all other relatives. He has no interest left in being the king, cherishing life and ruling Hastinapur. He have decided to leave everything which is marked with the blood of his loved ones and going into the jungle by leaving everything. Though Lord Shri Krishna (Lord Shri Krushna), Mahatma VedVyas and Naradjee have managed to change his thoughts in a way that its better to do "Ashwamegh Yagna (Yagya or Yajna) to get rid of all the sins made". Everyone need to do his duty. Life itself is there for doing the duty (Karm – Karma – Karam). Each and every karma have some negative impacts also, but if everyone will stop doing anything, the world will just stuck at a point. The Karma done without any desires (or thinking benefits and loss), just as a part of duty are not going to make Karta (the person who did the karma) responsible for any bad attributes (associated with the specific karma). This point, advised and suggested by respected people with great knowledge of karma and Dharma, have became a reason of thinking positive for Yudhisthir. The emperor of Hastinapur (Yudhisthir) have then decided to arrange the Ashwamegh Yagna. It is necessary to let a horse travel freely in all the other kingdoms and to win the kings of the respective kingdom who challenge (the freedom of the horse, by grabbing it or binding it). The best archer Arjun have took this greatest responsibility of conquering the earth and Lord Shri Krishna, the legend of the poer have supported him. This way Yudhisthir who got succeed in being an emperor (or the conqueror of the earth) in true, was able get out of the feelings of sorrow. The victorious voyage of the brave archer Arjun is a series of great bravery events (and tales about the same) of defeating powerful kings and that is what made the "Ashwamegh Prav" amazing, full of notable events and shining the importance of Dharma. The same is explored here. http://www.harilalupadhyay.org/mahabharat.php" title="Atha Shri Mahabharat Katha - The Mahabharat Epic in Gujarati By Shri Harilal Upadhyay)" class="normallink" >Mahabharat is a tale of the battle between Dharm and Adharm (the good and the evil) by the medium of Pandavs and Karuvs (Pandavas and Kauravas). The summary of this greatest epic is the ultimate truth that, at the end (finally) Dharma (the truth, the good, the ethics, the morals) triumps over Adharm (Adharma – the wrong, the bad qualities, the dark). I am glad to represent this fifth part of http://www.harilalupadhyay.org/mahabharat.php" title="Atha Shri Mahabharat Katha - The Mahabharat Epic in Gujarati By Shri Harilal Upadhyay)" class="normallink" >The Mahabharat Katha (after the four parts named BheeshmPratigna, DharmPratigna, Kurukshetra and BheeshmNo ShantiBodh ) written by me (as a medium). I am also praying Yogeshwar Shri Krishna (Yogeshwar Shri Krushna) to bless my aim of writing two more parts of http://www.harilalupadhyay.org/mahabharat.php" title="Atha Shri Mahabharat Katha - The Mahabharat Epic in Gujarati By Shri Harilal Upadhyay)" class="normallink" >The Mahabharat Katha based on Jay Samhita (Mahabharat)'s Mooshal Parv (Mushal Parv) Krushna Charitra (Krishna Charitra) and Swargarohan Parv (and let it get converted to the reality). I am also thanking Shri Dhanrajbhai Kothari & his son Poonamchanji Kothari from Laxmi Pustak Bhandar, who have published seven parts of this Mahabharat Katha series, for their feelings and cordial support.
