Navbharat Sahitya Mandir
Excerpts from MangalFera:
I have tried to explore and analyze the values of; ways of thinking and living of the modern
people in this novel, which draw the picture of hopes and desires, life and importance of
morals and ethics for both old and young generations. The main characters of this story are
from the royal blood line and qualities. Actually the era of kings and kingdoms got over now,
but the characters of this novel are not succeeded in getting totally away from their
nature (of having power and authority).
The nature and (the qualities like) hopes and desires of a man are changed on the bases
of the place and time he live in. Selfishness, ego and wrong understanding of
(and using the same in that way) for power and authority are found added since birth
(in the people, whose ancestors have ruled certain areas) along with demonstrating
the wealth, cheating etc. Of course there are some good qualities are also there along with.
The effects of these characteristics are found in the characters of this novel like
Jijima (or JeeJeeMa), Neera (or Nira), JayPratap, RavSaheb and their family members.
The destiny takes them to the happy by having them travel through some extra-ordinary
circumstances. The main aim of this story is to show the glimpses of (various aspects of)
old and new generations.
In addition, this character oriented novel also analyzes some of the extra ordinary
situations which are raised due to materialistic and money minded nature of the modern society.
Thus the story shows the effects and impacts of the social changes.
I hope the story will be liked by the quality readers.
