Excerpts from RanMedan:

In Saurashtra there is the history famous battlefield of Bhucharmori (BhoocharMori / BhoocharMoree / BhucharMoree) situated near the city (town) Dhrol. In the Shravan Month of Vikram Samvat 1648, the deadly battle fought between the armies of Jam Sataji (Jam Sattaji) and Aziz KokTalash – the commandant of the Mughal Emperor Akbar.
The battle of Bhucharmori (BhoocharMori / BhoocharMoree / BhucharMoree) is considered as the biggest battle in terms of human deaths, fought in the land of Saurashtra in last few centuries.
I wrote this novel on the historical background of that battle and causes behind the battle (are explored in this novel).
The Sultans after Mahamad Begada found weaker and it is resulted into the internal disputes and wars, to grab the power and authority. By taking advantage (of this dark time) the Count (Subo) of Junagadh have declared himself as an independent ruler.
There was a long history of the weaknesses of the Sultans of Gujarat. When Zala Mansinh of Kuva – Saurashtra has killed the inspector of Dasada, Mahamadshah was sultan of Gujarat. Mahamad's commandant Khankhana have defeated Mansinh and grabbed his (small) kingdom. To get the kingdom back Zala Mansinh setup the marriage of a beautiful Hindu girl, by representing her as his own daughter, with Sultan Mahamad.
That Hindu lady gave birth to a boy of Sultan Mahamad. The boy was (no one else but) the last and unlucky Sultan of Gujarat, Mujfarsha the third.
The boy of the Hindu lady and Sultan Mahamad was crowned on the throne of Amadavad (Ahmedabad) with the name Mujfarsha – the third, by his commandant Itmadkhand who have had the hunger for power, with the aim that he (Mujfarsha – the third) will be a paper king and will do as per his (Itmad;s) desires. But it wasn;t done and hence Itmad got angry and he have invited the emperor of Delhi – Akbar to win Gujarat.
Akbar defeated Gujarat and took Mujfar in his custody. Though Mujfar got succeed to escape from the royal custory, He have declared war against Akbar and got his kingdom back.
To settle down the things in Gujarat, Akbar have sent commandant Aziz KokTalash to Gujarat with his army. By fearing from that army, Mujfar went to Jamnagar to get support of Jam Sataji. Aziz KokTalash have asked Jam Sataji to give him the custody of Mujfar, forcefully. But Jam Sataji didn’t did that and the result was the battle of Bhucharmori (BhoocharMori / BhoocharMoree / BhucharMoree).
All these incidents were happened between 1554 and 1592 (A.D.).
There is a lot of stuff written and published about the deadly battle of Bhucharmori (BhoocharMori / BhoocharMoree / BhucharMoree). By respecting all the pens who wrote that, I represent this historical novel, in front of the readers.
